How does Follow Gate work?
Follow Gate flow: interaction, Follow-Gated DM gate message, I'm following ✓ tap, follow verification, then content delivery.
Follow Gate is an explicit unlock path. CommentLink does not rely on silent follow detection alone.
Step-by-step flow
- Someone interacts (for example comments on your post or replies to a Story) and matches your automation triggers.
- CommentLink sends the Follow-Gated DM gate message (follow request card) instead of immediately sending the gated content.
- The person follows your Instagram account (if they do not already).
- They tap I'm following ✓ (or your customized confirm button) in the DM.
- CommentLink runs follow verification (including Meta follow checks / follow webhook unlocks where applicable).
- If verification succeeds, the gated content is delivered.
