How do I create a DM Automation?
Create an account-wide keyword DM automation for Instagram conversations.
DM Automation handles Instagram messages when a configured keyword matches. Unlike post automations, it is account-wide rather than attached to one Post or Reel.
Before you start
- Instagram connected in Channels
- A keyword and reply prepared
Open DM Automation
Open DM Automation from the sidebar.
Create the rule
Choose New, enter the trigger keyword, and write the DM reply.
Save and test
Save the automation. New DM conversations containing the keyword can now match it.
Limitations
- A more specific matching automation can take priority over the account-wide fallback.
- This feature requires a connected Instagram account.
