DMs became the shop counter. The tools did not follow.
CommentLink is an Instagram and WhatsApp automation platform built for the people actually answering the messages — so a comment gets a reply in seconds, a Story question does not go cold overnight, and nobody has to sit in the inbox at midnight.
Somewhere along the way, buying stopped happening on websites. Someone sees a Reel, comments "price?", replies to a Story, or sends a WhatsApp message asking whether you deliver to their city. That is the whole sales conversation now, and it lands in a notification tray.
Which works right up until it does not. A post does well and there are four hundred comments asking the same question. Someone replies to a Story at 11pm and gets an answer at 10am the next day, by which point they have bought elsewhere. A second person on the team replies to a customer the first person already handled. None of this is a people problem — it is what happens when the volume outgrows the inbox.
CommentLink exists to close that gap. You pick the moment worth replying to — a keyword in a comment, a Story reply, a mention, a first message — and decide what should happen. The DM goes out immediately, the link lands while the person is still interested, and the conversation carries on in a shared inbox your whole team can see.
The part we care most about is what happens next: automation should hand over cleanly. It answers the question that has one answer, and gets out of the way the moment a real conversation starts.
Two channels, one inbox, no passwords
The product has a point of view
Four decisions that shape everything we ship, including the things we have turned down.
Official APIs, or nothing
Everything runs on Meta's official Instagram Graph and WhatsApp Business APIs. No scraping, no logging in as you, no unofficial workarounds that put your account at risk. If a feature cannot be built inside Meta's rules, we do not build it.
Automation should sound like a person
The goal is never to trap someone in a bot. Automation handles the repetitive part — the link, the price, the booking page — and hands the conversation to a human the moment it stops being repetitive.
Your account stays yours
You connect your own Instagram account and your own WhatsApp Business number, so the audience, the number and the message history belong to you. Disconnect whenever you want and every automation stops.
Small teams should get the good tools
The features that used to need an enterprise contract — shared inbox, routing, flows, broadcasts, audit logs — are the ones a two-person business needs most. So they are open to everyone rather than reserved for the biggest accounts.
Some things are a hard no
Growth tactics that work for a month and cost you the account are not worth selling.
Inside the rules, on purpose
CommentLink runs entirely on Meta's official Instagram Graph and WhatsApp Business APIs. Accounts connect through Meta's own login, sending stays inside their rate limits, and messages only go out in response to something a person did. It is slower to build this way. It is also the only version that still works in a year.
The team behind CommentLink
CommentLink is built and operated by Squadkin Technologies Pvt Ltd
We are a small product team. There is no support queue you disappear into — the people who answer your email are the people who build the thing, and most features on the roadmap are there because someone using it asked for them. If something is broken or missing, telling us actually works.
Try it on your own account
Connect Instagram or WhatsApp through Meta's official login, set one keyword, and watch the first automated reply go out. It costs nothing and takes about half an hour.
