Instagram posts
Attach the automation to a feed post. Commenters on that post get the DM. You can also arm upcoming post automation so keywords are live from the first comment of a launch, not twenty minutes later.
Someone comments on your post or Reel. CommentLink detects it, can reply in public, sends a private DM, optionally asks them to follow, then shares the link you set.
Free to use · No credit card · Instagram Business or Creator account
Instagram comment-to-DM automation is a simple swap: instead of leaving a link in your bio and hoping people find it, you ask them to comment a word. That comment becomes the reason you are allowed to message them. The DM can carry the product page, the booking link, the price list, or the lead magnet — the thing you could not fit in a caption.
It is not the same as blasting people who never talked to you. CommentLink only starts after a real comment on a post or Reel you connected. Sending goes through Meta's official APIs and stays inside their rate limits. You still need a Creator or Business account linked to a Facebook Page.
If you mainly want the public thread to look active, start with Instagram auto reply. If you want the private follow-up and the link, this page is the workflow.
You configure it once on the post. Every matching comment runs the same path.
A person comments on your Instagram post or Reel — often a keyword you put in the caption, like “link”, “price”, or “guide”.
The comment arrives through Meta's official Instagram Graph API. If it matches your trigger (a keyword, or every comment), the automation starts.
If you switched on automatic public replies, CommentLink posts a short reply under the comment so the thread still looks alive.
The same person gets an Instagram DM with the message you wrote — text, a button, a product card, or a question.
If you turned on a follow-gate, the first DM asks them to follow and tap I'm following. The link waits until that check passes.
Once the steps you configured are done, they get the product URL, lead magnet, booking page, or discount you set.
Most campaigns use a short keyword people already type: link, price, info, guide, book, yes. Put that word in the caption and say it in the video. When the comment contains it, the DM fires. You can run different keywords to different messages on the same account.
Keywords are optional. For a giveaway or a launch where people comment anything, set the automation to catch every comment. That is still comment-to-DM — there is just no filter.

Reels comments use the same triggers and messages. Reels are usually where new people arrive, so this is often where comment-to-DM pays for itself — they never visited your profile, and the DM still hands them the link.
Comment on the post, DM with the product link.
Same keyword, same DM, on the format that travels.
A comment-to-DM tool that only DMs can leave the public thread looking ignored. CommentLink can post a public reply on the comment as well — “sent you the link” — so other people still see activity. That reply is optional and separate from the private message.
You can rotate a few public reply lines so the thread does not repeat the same sentence. For the difference between what everyone sees and what only the commenter sees, read Instagram auto reply.
Optional. The first DM asks them to follow and tap I'm following. CommentLink then checks follow status through Meta's API. It does not silently detect a follow with no tap. Details on the Instagram follow gate page.
The DM can include a URL, a button, a product card, or a file you attach. You can also ask for an email or phone number first, then send the link — so the comment becomes a contact, not only a click.
Caption says comment “link”. The DM sends the product URL so people are not hunting your bio.
Comment “price” and the DM returns sizes, colours, and a checkout link instead of a public price war in the comments.
Comment “guide” and collect an email in the DM before you send the PDF — a list you actually own.
Arm keywords before the post goes live so the first hour of comments still gets a DM.
